Smoky Mountains…. Man they weren’t joking

By | Landscapes, Photography, Tennessee | No Comments

So I recently took a trip to the Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee to photograph the fall colors in the mountains, but mother nature obviously wanted to make it harder than it really needed to be. Both days were filled with dense fog, rain and the temperatures hovered around the 50-40 degree range. I was determined to take pictures though and that I did…. Were they the quality images I was hoping to get?  Let me know what you guys think!

Sunset Under The Walnut Bridge

I recently went on a meet up with the Exposure Roanoke group for a Urban Exploration shoot. We toured some old abandoned buildings that once served as repair facilities for the trolleys that use to be in the city. Here is one of the best shots I captured during the shoot. I am off for the weekend to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to try and capture some fall colors and nature at its best 🙂

Well in case you missed it one of my photographs was featured on ViewBug. 🙂 I took this photo around lunch time while on our beach trip when a thunderstorm started rolling in and everyone cleared the beach. I on the other hand ran back to the beach house and grabbed my camera. 🙂

My First Attempt At Light Painting

By | Photography | No Comments

So this past weekend I decided to give Light Painting a try. Armed with my  Canon T2i camera, tripod, my Metz flash and one single LED flashlight I created this image. First I used the flash to create the light on the ground and to light up the tree, Second I used the Green LED flashlight to attempt to make an orb which is harder than it looks, I then combined the images using photoshop to get the final image you see below.
